Wireless local area network

WLAN is the abbreviation of Wireless Local Area Network, which refers to the application of wireless communication technology to interconnect computer equipment to form a network system that can communicate with each other and realize resource sharing. The essential feature of a wireless local area network is that it no longer uses a communication cable to connect the computer to the network, but connects it wirelessly, which makes the construction of the network and the movement of the terminal more flexible.

The access method of WLAN is very simple. Take a home WLAN as an example, only a wireless access device-router, a computer or terminal (mobile phone or PAD) with wireless function is needed, and a computer without wireless function only needs to plug in a wireless network card. That's it. After having the above equipment, the specific operation is as follows: Use the router to connect the hotspot (other wireless networks that have been established and in the receiving range) or wired network to the home, and follow the instructions provided by the network service provider to configure the routing. Place the receiving terminal within the coverage area (the stable coverage of the WLAN is about 20 m~50 m), turn on the wireless function of the terminal, and enter the user name and password given by the service provider to access the WLAN.
